← CHAPTER OVERVIEW
Your Inner Child & You pt. II
Dear Creatrix,
How are you today?
How was it to look at the Inner Child Archetypes and to recognize them within you?
How have you been dealing with them so far?
And do you feel like you can use new ways of speaking to yourself? Could you find kinder and more gentle ways?
What worked and what will still need more effort, love and patience?
Did you feel like you could forgive one or more people who have hurt you when you were growing up?
How did it feel to think about doing so, and if you managed to forgive them, how do you feel now?
Today, we will see how we can integrate the Inner Child Archetypes so that we can fully be ourselves, no hiding, no casting away, and how we can use what we’ve learned from them to create the future we wish for.
And, I’d like to say this again, the more time you invest in this, the more benefits you will have from this as well.
It is really as simple as this.
And if you haven’t taken the time yet to sit down and write down how each of the Inner Child Archetypes has affected you growing up, and what you’ve learned from them, do it now, before you continue to read.
I will be sharing what came up for me last year, and how I used what I realized then, to integrate each of the Inner Child Archetypes over the last year, and what effect that has on my life now – where I’ve succeeded and where I didn’t – yet.
I’ve also made some collages of my inner children, which I added, and I would love to encourage you to be creative here as well and find a way to connect with your inner children that works for you.
Often it’s as simple as asking a question: “Wounded child (or any child you pick), where are you and is there something I can do for you today, so we can heal?”
By sharing my own experiences, you can also see what I did, try it for yourself and see if that works for you or try some other ways until you find the right approach for YOU.
I have to say, looking back at what I wrote last year, after I had already worked through those archetypes before I wrote this chapter, I am quite surprised to see how much more has changed for me since I did this exercise last year.
It’s astonishing to see where I was just a year ago, how different things were, how limited my perspective was, and how much more I know now.
