5 Reasons Why Joining a CREATRIX Crew Will Make Your Life Easier

Could you use some support in your life right now?

What is one thing, that if you changed it right now, would make all parts of your life better?

A move, a new career? More exercise? A different diet? More time in nature? To start to meditate?

And would your goal seem a lot more doable, if you didn’t have to do it alone?

Then, what if I told you that there’s a way that you can get support from your friends or strangers in a way that you would really value (and give the same to them)?

And if that’s not enough, what if we also supported each other in our intentions, tapping into the collective consciousness so that we can reach everything we wish for and more with ease?

There’s real tangible science behind how this works, which I will explain and link a bit further down, but first I’d like to know:

Are you interested in creating a support system to help you become your best self and reach all your goals?

Because then you’ve come to the right place, and a CREATRIX Crew might be just what you are looking for.

You don’t have to do it alone

Self-actualizing, or becoming your best self, or your authentic self, or your qui_ing self, is a very individual process and there is not one way to do it, but many, so sometimes it can be hard to find companions as we each work on our own topics and timelines.

If you made your way here, you probably already have an idea that there is nothing we can do wrong, on this journey to becoming our best, most authentic, loving, kind, successful, happy selves – there are no right or wrong turns, there’s simply always a next step, that helps us to see and understand life a little bit more.

On our journey, peace sets in, when we recognize that we will also never arrive, be done or complete, know it all, but begin to enjoy the journey, wherever it takes us.

Sometimes we need to be by ourselves, be quiet, hear our inner voice, reflect, integrate, listen learn, find new stories and ideas and then we need to go out, share what we know with others, try out new ideas and see if they also work in practice.

On this journey, I’ve learned, practised, and taught that how we feel, and how healthy, happy and successful we are with our projects is essentially based on our mindset, how we act, what we think and what we say.

At least our mind can be a good place to start because it is something we have control over.

Our mind and our thoughts might have been highly influenced by the people and the society we’ve been raised in, but we do have the power to retrain our mind and our thoughts, by changing what we listen to, how we speak to each other and where and with whom we spend our time. (Learn more about how to train your mind.)

But eventually, we also reach a limit, of what we can do by changing our thoughts alone.

In our individualistic world, when this happens, it is so easy to think:

“I’m not good enough.”

“I failed.”

“I don’t know enough, I didn’t do enough.”

But it’s not all up to us alone, and this is the reason, why I’m writing this article and invite you to join a CREATRIX Crew or start your own.

Maybe you, like many of us eventually will, have reached a point where things didn’t work out the way you hoped, not because you haven’t given it your all, or because you didn’t do it right, but because the surrounding circumstances weren’t ready or right or you didn’t have the support you needed.

When we reach this point, where things don’t seem to move forward, no matter how hard we try, it’s easy to think about giving up because asking for help can be difficult or because we don’t think the right people or resources are available for us.

And this is where the CREATRIX Crew comes in:

How would it be, if from now on, whatever it is you are going through, you had a team of supporters by your side, who can help you in practical and or spiritual ways?

Because the truth is, that it doesn’t just take a village to raise a child, it takes a village to keep us healthy and happy, alive and thriving.

We can go quite far on our own.

We might enjoy venturing out on our hero’s journey for a while, start our business, do our work, look for inner peace, health, happiness, start a family, do all the things, we think are right and that will bring us what we wish for, but eventually, something comes up and we will exhaust our powers, lose focus, stray from the path, don’t see things straight any more and then we need the support, love, presence and the ideas and perspectives of others more than ever.

But very few of us have the necessary system for that in place. Because if you’ve been overworking, chances are high, that your colleagues and friends might have been as well.

If you’re not super happy and healthy, chances are high that your friends and family are not either.

And in a world that has been shaken by colonialism, wars, sexism, ableism, natural disasters, crisis after crisis and lately a global pandemic and the effects of climate change –  we often don’t seem to have the resources we need at hand – unless we consciously create them.

And this is your chance to start doing this.

What’s a CREATRIX Crew?

A CREATRIX Crew consists of a minimum of six people – who come together with the conscious intention of supporting each other, possibly for the rest of our lives.

There are two main functions for a CREATRIX Crew, one is to be a real friend, someone who is a conscious listener and supporter, honest about what they see and think, and someone who offers practical and emotional help.

The second function is to support each other spiritually, by holding space and envisioning each other’s intentions.

I will explain both functions in more detail below.

How can we build conscious friendships?

I recently found this story about how a new person is integrated into the Himba culture in Namibia on Facebook, and thought it was incredibly beautiful.

The song of life

In the Himba tribe of Namibia, South Africa, a child’s date of birth is set, not at the moment of their arrival in this world, nor at conception, but much earlier: at the day the child is conceived in the mind.

When a woman decides to have a child, she sits down and rests under a tree, and listens until she hears the song of the baby she wants to be born.

And after hearing the child’s song, she goes back to the man who will be the father of the child to teach him that song. And then when they make love to physically conceive the baby, they sing the baby’s song to invite them.

When the mother is pregnant, she teaches the baby’s song to the doulas, nurses and the elderly in the village. So when the baby is born, old women and people around the child sing the song to welcome them.

As the child grows, the other villagers learn their song. So if the child falls, or hurts, it will always find someone to pick them up and sing them their song.

Similarly, if the child does something wonderful, or successfully passes through rites of passage, the villagers sing their song to honour them. ⠀

And then there’s another opportunity for villagers to sing the song.

If, at any time in their life, the person commits a crime or an abusive social act, the individual is called to the centre of the village and the people of the community form a circle around them. Then they sing their song. ⠀

The tribe recognizes that correction of antisocial behaviour does not go through punishment, but through love and remembering identity.

When you recognize your song, you don’t want or don’t have to do anything that can hurt the other. ⠀

And when, getting older, the person lies in his bed, ready to die, all the villagers know their song, and sing, for the last time, their song.

And I think that conscious friendships, or a CREATRIX Crew, can serve exactly that same function, that the people take, who sing the song in this story.

  • To sing our song and lift us up when we’re down.
  • To sing our song and celebrate with us when we are winning.
  • To sing our song and just hold space for us when we are grieving.
  • To sing our song and remind us of who we are (light beings), when we are growing, and expanding, exploring and enjoying.
  • To sing our song in good or bad, to remind us that we are loved and belong, no matter what has happened, what we do or what we experienced.

Only that instead of our song being received by our parents before birth, we can write it ourselves and share it with those we want to sing it for us – and ask them to do the same.

You’ll find more information about what that could look like in practice below.

How can we start building stronger communities post covid?

Why does it become easier when we self-actualize together?

For a while, when I was still living in Berlin, I worked with people, who had a double diagnosis: a severe mental health issue (mostly schizophrenia) and addiction problems.

The organization I worked for was great because by placing people in shared housing instead of homes, they were trying everything in their power to give the people some autonomy over their lives.

But it wasn’t enough. The whole time I was there, I felt that what the people really needed was a village, someone to sing their song, to call them back to remember who they really were.

It so often seems like we are who we are now, because of what we’ve experienced, since we were born, what and who we are goes beyond our experiences in this or all of our lifetimes.

Our essence, our core, who we are, existed before we came into this body and before we experienced what we did, and our song will continue after we leave this body, a sound maybe inaudible to those alive, yet still equally real.

We each have a soul that cannot be harmed by the experiences of this world, but sometimes we distance ourselves so much from our soul, and let the voice of reason and tradition become so loud and domineering, that we forget.

As soon as we remember though, or someone calls us back to remember, our soul can ground and guide us whenever we tune in.

We are each perfect in our own way, no matter where we are on our journey. We are each the centre of the universe, the light of the world, a qui_ing, a divine being, god consciousness.

In a fast-paced world, where the general understanding is that as long as we can keep up, we’re fine, we forget about this constantly, though.

We take pills, drink drinks, eat unhealthy, distract ourselves and do whatever it takes to be able to sooth ourselves and keep up, but we don’t take the time to integrate, hear the song our body is singing, directing us to where it hurts, where we have to look to heal, breath, ground, so that we can fly and be truly free.

We have not yet learned to treat ourselves as the divine beings that we are. But we can start now.

At the Illuminated Herbalism conference at the Shift Network, I watched an interview with David Crow this week, and he reminded me of something very important:

We can use herbs and other supplements and practices to help us heal, to help us feel better, to support us in the changes we seek, but eventually, their powers are used up and we have to do the inner work to get to the core of things and set them right.

And it is important that we do the inner work, to figure ourselves out, understand ourselves better, figure out what we want and don’t want and look at our shadows.

But with this work, too, eventually, we reach a point where we can’t resolve things on our own any more.

Then, we will have to open up to love, to community, to friends and family and heal together.

Which is where another favourite story of mine comes in:

Growing good corn

Once upon a time, there lived a farmer who grew high-quality, award-winning corn. Each year he would enter the state farmer’s fair and win a gold award for his exceptionally good corns.

The farmer’s high-quality corn was praised all around in the state. Finally, the success story of his exceptional corn reached the ears of a journalist, and he wanted to interview the farmer. While learning about the farmer’s agriculture process, he discovered that the farmer shared his best quality seeds with his neighbours.

“How can you afford to share your best corn seeds with your neighbours when some of them compete with you in the agriculture fair?” asked the curious reporter.

“Why wouldn’t I, Sir?” asked the farmer. “Didn’t you know that the wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field? So if my neighbours grow inferior quality corn, cross-pollination would eventually degrade the quality of my corn too. So to grow high-quality corn, I must help my neighbours grow good corn too.”

The farmer’s answer made the reporter realize how aware the old farmer was about connections in life.

It is the same with our life. Those who choose to live in peace must help others around them to live in peace too. The one who wishes to be loved must learn to love others too. The one who chooses to live well must help make others live well, too, as the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches.

Those who choose to be happy must let others find their happiness, as the welfare of each is intertwined with the welfare of all.

What this story shows very vividly is that it is difficult to grow, develop, thrive and be strong, healthy, happy and successful when our surrounding is not.

But not only does it become easier to grow and change together, we also need each other because we all bring different and unique gifts into this world.

And I know I only fully understood how far this goes and how elemental this is, through working with the Wheel of Colours.

When we look at each other, we think that we all, or most of us, have the same two hands, eyes, ears, a head, legs, feet, teeth and so on, so we should also all be able to do or want or give or experience the same things.

And I guess to a certain degree it is true, if we want something and spend enough time practising it, start creating the right circumstances and don’t give up, we can probably learn everything and do everything we set our minds to.

Until we reach a limit that we simply can’t cross just by ourselves, here we can hire a coach, find mentors or start finding our community.

And it seems to me like this is so by design.

Because if we could do it alone, many of us would. But we, our souls, are all part of the same consciousness, so it is much more beneficial for the whole if we rise and evolve together.

When we look at the studies about longevity, they all show one thing: those who are part of a strong spiritual community, who act altruistically and support each other without asking anything in return – live the healthiest, happiest and longest lives.

Nothing beats community when it comes to living well.

And this is your chance to fully embrace this fact and begin to prioritize yours, if you don’t do so already.

Our uniqueness is what makes us meaningful in the big picture

Most of us function well enough in society to be able to blend in, in some ways. For some, who are differently abled, not neurotypical, or don’t belong to the majority culture, it takes more effort, and it often feels like there is something wrong with them (or us), when in reality, everything that makes us special is exactly right.

We can’t all be perfect painters, but we need people to bless our lives with wonderful paintings. We can’t all be perfect singers, but we need people to bless our lives with songs. Furthermore, we can’t all be healers, but we all need to be healed at times.

We need teachers, inventors, trailblazers, conservationists, archivists, runners, explorers, writers, construction workers, pilots, we need all of us – and we need all of us to be different so that our world can work in all of its complexity.

But apart from being active in different fields and professions, we also interact with the world in unique ways.

The Wheel of Colours can show us how we work in new situations, what we need to collaborate with other people, what we need to heal, what our most important lessons are, what we need, to feel safe, what we need, to feel respected and the gifts we bring into this world to share with others. And this is unique for every person.

And it is so beautiful to watch this in action.

A friend of mine, for example, came to teach about willpower, and you can see how she’s bringing that up in discussions again and again.

I came to share about justice, and I can and will easily bring that up in any conversation or moment. You will see this in every blog post and all my teachings.

Another friend of mine came to teach about relationships, and she lives for that, and that’s quite beautiful to see as well.

I have to feel loved to feel safe, other people have to trust their intuition or listen to their emotions, or exercise their creativity to feel safe.

We all need different things, we all bring different things to the table.

I do believe that our souls, chose the families and circumstances we were born into consciously, because of what we can learn here, and that we also made agreements with other souls, to remind us of our truth and support each other on the way.

Because we can’t always experience everything first hand. For some things, we need to see another person embody something and share it with us, so we can learn through experiencing and closeness and connection with them.

Which means that it all works out well, if we take the steps to actually come together and do not think we have to figure it all out by ourselves.

Everything is needed

We need herbs and supplements, exercise, to eat well, to take care of ourselves and do everything it takes to nourish our body.

We also need to do the inner work, to be free to react with a beginners mind and not be limited by our past.

And in the same way, when we’re ready – we also need to really openly and safely come together with others, so we can evolve further with the knowledge and support that each of us brings to the table.

How to manifest your ideal relationship - two people holding their arms up to from a heart together

Why joining a CREATRIX Crew will make your life easier

One of the most mind-blowing books I’ve read recently was Lynne McTaggert’s book The Power of Eight. In it, she shows, with incredibly detailed descriptions and backed up by scientific studies from different Universities, that when a group of around eight people focuses their intention together on a single target, a powerful collective dynamic emerges that has the power to create miracles.

She describes numerous personal accounts of people who have found health, new jobs, healed broken relationships, lowered violence in war regions and even brought back meaning into the life’s of people who had already given up.

And all of that was done by setting an intention, sharing it with others, and then simply watching the change unfold (in laboratories and in personal experiences)

But what was even more surprising than to see how well it worked to bring a group of people together to intend the same things at the same time, was that holding intentions for other people creates a mirror effect.

What does that mean? It means that when we send peace to a person or a region, we become more peaceful.

When we send health to another person, we become more healthy, when we send financial success to someone else, we become more financially successful and so on.

So by joining a CREATRIX Crew, you get to harness this power and all its benefits as well. Here are five reasons why joining a CREATRIX Crew will make your life easier:

If you create or join a CREATRIX Crew, you can have people to rely on going through life

What does your friendship situation look like right now? Do you feel comfortable sharing your true emotions with your friends? Your worries, your fears, your hopes and wishes?

In a CREATRIX Crew, we come together with the conscious intention, of doing just that – and by doing the inner work, we also learn the techniques and grow the capacity to hold space for each other in this way.

You can set the terms and get really clear on what you value in your friendships, to have your needs met

When it comes to friendship and support, we all might have slightly different needs and expectations. When you join or create a CREATRIX Crew, you have the chance to think about what is most valuable and important to you and to share that with your crew members – so they can understand you and meet your needs.

You can become a great friend

One of the most underestimated feelings is that of being of service to others. Being there for others enriches our life, strengthens our bonds and, as we’ve seen above, greatly benefits our well-being and personal development, levels of joy and outlook on life. We all want to feel needed and effective – this is a fantastic chance!

We can support each other in practical ways

Four eyes see more than two. And two brains have more ideas than one. When we come together, talk about what is going on in our lives, we can also support each other. With connections, ideas and resources in very practical ways.

That journalist you talked to recently might be happy to write about one of your friend’s projects as well. Whatever we give to others comes back to us in many wonderful ways.

We can support each other by sharing our intentions

And finally, we can set positive intentions and support each other to bring what we are looking for into our lives.

This might even be the most exciting part of forming a CREATRIX Crew because the potential here is so incredible.

Whether you’d like to solve family conflicts, heal or lessen the impact of chronic diseases, or get support for your business, setting your intentions and asking other people to hold these intentions with you, can make things happen that might be difficult or take very long if you tried to solve them by yourself.

Are you ready to start your CREATRIX Crew?

Then let’s get started. As you might already know, I run a school, called the CREATRIX School. In it, we bring clarity, confidence and connection into every aspect of our lives – and one aspect of our lives is our friendships.

In the course, I will share with you how to choose the right people, and you can also apply to be matched up with other participants.

You will get instructions about how to write “your song”, we talk about intentions and responsibilities and most importantly, you will get to know yourself and your needs a lot better when it comes to friendships so that you can really be met in the ways you need the most right now.

And of course, we will also talk about the formal structures that can be set into place and that will make communication within the CREATRIX Crew possible.

Get Your Personal Wheel of Colours

The Wheel of Colours is a traditional tool to help us understand what we need or can share in certain situations.

We are all made up out of the same colours, but they are arranged uniquely in each person – which is why we need or can give different things in different moments.

If you’d like to find out what can support YOU when starting a project, or working with other people, to successfully finish something, to heal, to spark your creativity or what your unique gift is, that you bring to the world, then the Wheel of Colours will help you to see this and yourself more clearly and show you how to use these insights in practical ways.

It will also show you how you can listen to your inner truth and that of others, what your most important lesson is in life and what challenges you might have to overcome.

Once you’ve learned what you need to learn, you can start the wheel again, this time more smoothly.

In the past, people often only got these insights and realizations towards the end of their lives – but you don’t have to wait until then.

🌈 You have the power to create your reality.
