The Colour Red
– Trust, Passion & Confidence

The Wheel of Colours has 13 fields and 13 colours – each field represents a different challenge, gift or lesson we have to master in our lifetimes and the colours in our unique wheel show us how each of us, can master them best, with our unique abilities.

We are all made up of the same colours, but the colours are arranged differently for each of us on our wheels.

For example, red is the colour for trust, passion & confidence – something we all need to develop in our lifetimes to thrive – but some of us are already born with (more of) it, while others have to build it by going through the lessons they have to learn in this lifetime.

Which is true for you?
You might be able to guess, looking at your life and how you feel. But if you want to be sure, you can order your unique Wheel of Colours now.

If you do know already and are one of the people who still needs to work on building their trust, passion & confidence in this lifetime – then let me show you some practical ways how to do that in this article.

The classical field for the colour red in the Wheel of Colours is the first field.

The first field shows us what we need to start a new project, enter a new relationship, or initiate any kind of change in our lives.

It makes sense to have red as the classical first colour because whatever we like to do, or start, or tackle in life, is easier if we trust ourselves and others, are passionate about what we do and have the confidence to think that we can actually do it.

But not all of us are born or raised to have that – and that is OK, as we can learn it now.

If red is your first colour, you probably are a great initiator, but you might have also already found out that this is not all it takes to do something.

You also need to know how to collaborate (field two) and how to finish something (field three).

The classical position of the colour red in the Wheel of Colours

We all have things we already know – either because we came into the world knowing, or because these are things we learned growing up – and other things we still have to learn.

But even if trust, passion and confidence are qualities that come to us naturally – sometimes we forget, or doubt, or we don’t know when we need them the most, so the Wheel of Colours can help us to remember this.

Wherever the colour red appears on your unique wheel – that’s where you need trust, passion and confidence the most.

Now, let’s have a look at what we can do to strengthen these qualities in our lives.

*According to the wheels I’ve made so far. I will update this occasionally.
The centre represents our core, our essence, the first six fields show the colours which come to us naturally, that we are born with, and the later ones represent the colours/lessons we have to learn, often painfully, to thrive in all areas of our life.

If you’d like to find out in which field the colour red is especially important for YOU, order your Wheel of Colours now.

1. Using the colour red in your environment

If you feel that you have an issue with trust, passion and confidence, then the first thing you can do is to bring some red into the situation.

Do you have some red clothes? A red scarf, red socks, something you like wearing? A red bracelet, necklace or earrings can work as well.

Have you ever seen anyone wear red lipstick or nail polish, who didn’t also look confident?

If you find this scary or too much, start in your home – bring some red flowers or plants with red blossoms into your home.

Or hang up one or more artworks, photos, posters that have plenty of reds in them.

You might even want to paint a wall in your home red or get red curtains.

Or just sit and think/mediate on the colour red for a while. What comes up? What do you feel?

Why do you think the stereotype about men buying a red car in their midlife crises is so real? What do you think they want to express?

That they are powerful and passionate!

So what can you do that makes you feel passionate and confident?

Try out a few things that may work for you and see what feels best.

2. How to build trust

If we don’t trust ourselves, it’s difficult to trust other people.

This might seem a bit weird in the beginning, but it’s true. If you have issues trusting other people, they will disappear once you trust yourself.

And to trust yourself, you have to know yourself.

I’ve founded the CREATRIX School, exactly for this reason, so you can get to know yourself and find clarity about what you need, want & desire in all areas of your life.

Because I had massive trust issues, and I’m only just getting over them.

It’s very easy to lose trust in yourself, when you grow up in an environment where you feel ‘wrong’ and like you are not valued for who you truly are – for whatever reason. (Or if you have red in the second half of your wheel ;))

Rarely this is due to people having bad intentions, more often than not it is done to ‘protect us’ and make us behave ‘normal’ or fit in.

But the more we deny and suppress our real selves, the more we struggle in life and the more difficult it becomes to trust ourselves and anyone else – because we lose touch with our inner compass.

But we can rebuild our trust in ourselves, and with that also the trust in other people, situations and our abilities.

A good place to start with this would be the PURPOSE or the GROWTH chapter of the CREATRIX School.

One thing you can also do right away to start building trust in yourself is to always keep your word – and to make that non-negotiable.

If you say you’ll do something – you will always do it from now on – no excuses.

And there are three important tricks for starting any new habit:

1. Start crazy small – e.g. start with something that you don’t have a rational excuse for why you can’t do it, like meditating one minute every day – everyone has a minute.

2. It’s easier to do something 100% of the time, than 99% of the time – if you give yourself the chance to have a debate whether today is a good day to pause or not, you’re on your way to finding an excuse. Don’t even go there.

3. If you break your word, don’t get mad at yourself, just continue the next time – you’re already doing much better than if you hadn’t started. Every time you succeed you win, every time you don’t – nothing’s lost, you still have all the other wins – and more are coming if you allow yourself to continue and don’t give up!

Everything is difficult when it’s new. If it seems hard or too much effort, that’s OK and a natural part of the process. If you continue anyway, it will eventually become easier until you won’t even think about it any more and won’t believe how far you’ve come.

Remember the growing pains you had when your body was growing? It’s part of the game to feel uncomfortable with change, but if you do it regularly, you can even start to celebrate every time something feels difficult and challenging because you know it will open new doors and possibilities for you.

3. How to ignite your passion

If you have ever been told, or told yourself, to be reasonable, you probably silenced a passion.

But if you want to (re)discover something that you are passionate about, you will most likely find it in field 6 of your Wheel of Colours.

And if you make what you are passionate about your profession, you are very likely to go far and be very successful.

So, what are the things that get you excited?

That light you up?

That you could talk about for hours?

We all have them – go on a hunt and discover or nurture yours.

How can you make them an important part of your life? How can you integrate the things you are passionate about into your day?

We can be passionate about all aspects of our lives; about our jobs, our families, about cooking, gardening, pets, crafts, our partners and ourselves.

But for that, we can’t suppress what we are passionate about by being logical or reasonable – where we find our passion is very likely also where we find our genius.

And that means we can do things here that other people can’t.

Maybe we can be a little reasonable and a little logical – but the more passionate we are about whatever we want to do, the easier it will be.

Again, this is about getting to know ourselves.

We each have different things we are passionate about – but more often than not, we have learned to ignore or suppress them and to do what has to get done instead.

So, today I invite you to go and explore where this might be true for you – if you don’t want to do it alone – join us in the CREATRIX School.

If you have a hard time being passionate in bed – or coming while having sex – it’s because you are suppressing parts of yourself – and if you do that in one area of your life – it shows in all.

And if you have an easier time coming when you’re alone rather than with other people – you can guess – it’s because it’s easier to be yourself when you are alone, than when you are with other people. (Yes, I know what I’m talking about ;))

Unhappy at your job? You don’t feel like you are valued for who you truly are.

Unhappy in your relationship? You don’t feel like you are valued for who you truly are.

If you suppress your passions, if you don’t share your gifts with other people, you won’t be happy because you don’t allow yourself to be you.

And the only person it takes to change that is you.

Dare to become passionate about what you do and show it!

If you want to be seen for who you truly are, and do what you truly love, you first have to find out what that is and then do it, regularly, integrate it into your life and show it to the people you wish to know you for who you truly are.

And if you don’t want to go on this journey of self-discovery alone – join the CREATRIX School.

4. How to grow your confidence

If you have learned to trust yourself and live your life passionately, you’re already pretty confident as well, I would guess.

But most likely you’re not there yet, or you wouldn’t be on this page.

The thing that has helped me the most with my confidence was affirmations, especially subliminal affirmations.

Dick Sutphen has recorded a lot, which I really enjoy.

We have to remember that our brain is like a recording machine that repeats to us what it hears a lot, or has heard a lot, whether that’s actually true or not.

When you’ve heard that you can’t do certain things, or that you’re not good at certain things all your life, and decide that that is not true for you any more – you will have to retrain your brain.

And that works best with repetition, e.g. somebody telling you that you can indeed do whatever you want to – over and over again.

On the Hay House audio app, you can find many different recordings by other authors as well. It’s what I use.

Another thing that will help you grow your confidence is to surround yourself with people who believe in themselves – and in you.

Just like you can’t trust other people if you don’t trust yourself – other people won’t believe in you, if they don’t believe in themselves.

If your parents or the people around you, when you were growing up didn’t believe in you – it’s not because they meant any harm – they didn’t believe in themselves, and so they also couldn’t/can’t believe in you.

Researchers have found out that we’re the average of the five people we surround ourselves with the most, so, if at this time, you feel like the people around you aren’t very confident either – see how you can surround yourself more with people that represent and show what you aspire to be.

And to begin, as people might not be lining up for the job 😉 , you can do that by listening to podcasts or audiobooks – instead of the news or the radio.

Start to become really conscious about what you allow into your body – also soundwise – because what you hear does shape who you are (becoming).

The more confident you become, the more people you will attract into your life, who match your level of confidence, and the easier it will become to level up.

And of course, you can also join the CREATRIX School, to have some guidance and companionship on your journey to more confidence.

5. The Colour Red in Your Life

Have you ever wondered why some people grow up under very difficult circumstances and yet, they are super confident?

Or others who grow up in supper supportive environments, yet they are full of self-doubt?

Where do you fall on this spectrum?

If red is at the beginning of your wheel – your circumstances most likely didn’t affect your sense of self-worth very much.

If it’s in the second half of your wheel, though, no matter what your circumstances were growing up, you do most likely still struggle with going through the world confidently (I know what I’m talking about!).

There’s no shame either way, we’re all here to learn and grow.

And, as with everything, where there’s light, there’s also shadow.

So, if you have the colour red at the beginning of your wheel, and are born with the idea of a self, a sense of self, then you might have to learn how to be patient with those who don’t and don’t expect things from them, that are natural to you, but might not be to them.

Instead, see if you can support them in finding their sense of self and self-worth.

The Wheel of Colours shows us, very nicely, that we all have things to learn and things to share.

Each of us has six fields filled with qualities we already possess and six qualities we will have to cultivate over the course of our lives.

I think this shows, quite well, how we as humans are made to collaborate with each other – we each have unique abilities that we are meant to share (and be passionate about) and things we need support with from other people.

We are all one, and we need each other to progress – but the better we know ourselves and understand this, the happier we become, the more we can act on purpose, the more successful we will be – and the easier it will become to contribute to the well-being of all and to safe and protect our planet and humanity as a whole.

If you long for more peace in our world as much as I do, then the best place to start is to create that peace within yourself – and I’m here in all my power to support you in that.

What others say about the Wheel of Colours

“The Wheel of Colours not only reminded me what my strengths and weaknesses are, but also enlightened me about how I can solve my weaknesses and use them as a means of creating a better life.

It also showed me how precise our unconscious choices are and that we should trust our basic instinctive voices more.

Thank you, Verena, for reminding me of my flaws and apprising how to solve them!”

Ebru

“Having Verena explain my Wheel of Colours to me was a very encouraging experience where I got to look at and appreciate a lot of aspects of my personality.

We talked about my gifts, but also the challenges I face according to my personal distribution of colours.

I particularly enjoyed the practical tips for the different areas of life that pointed me to things I want to work on and pay attention to.”

Corinna

“I wasn’t aware of the concept of the Wheel of Colours and stumbled upon it accidentally.

At first, I was rather sceptical because I didn’t know how the whole process was supposed to work. But the result was amazingly accurate and gave me a lot more insight.

I knew myself quite well before that, but through this experience I was able to deepen my self-reflection even further and today I am putting some things into practice in a practical way.

This new perspective has brought me more clarity.”

Maeva

“It was really good to find out that things I already had a vague idea about are actually true for me, and that I now know what I have to do to take advantage of these opportunities.”

Linda

“I find it amazing how coherent the wheel of colours is and how much truth you can find in it, even if what you learn might be difficult.

It’s very useful and makes a lot of sense to learn more about yourself this way, if you want to understand yourself better. Very insightful!”

“Right after I received the wheel, there was a situation where someone asked me what I was thinking and I could just point to the relevant part of the wheel and be understood.

I could never have said that so well and precisely in my own words.”

Annemarie

“The Wheel of Colours has helped me see my purpose in life, something I already had an idea about, but had a hard time acknowledging before seeing it so clearly.”

Intuition, Truth & Inner Knowing

We all have intuition, but the question is: How much do we trust it and how well have we nourished our connection to it – to be able to access it when we need it?

Some of us, usually those who have blue at the beginning of their wheel, already have good access to their intuition, while others (those with blue in the second half of their wheel) have to put in more effort to nourish and build that connection by …
