Building a safe cocoon
The practice comes in three versions, in this chapter.
I had this idea of creating a safe cocoon, to help us move through the world more peacefully, but my guides invited me to do something else, building a kind of Merkabah, a protective and empowering shield, so I will share both of these options with you so you can try them both and choose what you like better.
Or you might also want to have different things at different times.
And I will even add a third one that you can use a bit more spontaneously – because it’s fun. 💖
As you are well aware, we’ve talked about our bodies in this chapter, and how the judgement of others has often hurt and harmed us in the past.
The stronger our new kind and loving believes about ourselves become, the less we will need to feel protected because our strength and love will automatically radiate outwards.
But on our way there, we may need protection.
So, one thing I have learned about at some point is to create a protective bubble.
The bubble, you can get out in all kinds of every day situations when you feel uncomfortable.
Like walking past a group of drunk teenagers. Or through a crowd of people. Or past a scary dog.
You know your triggers. So before you enter into a situation that may trigger you, you can imagine that you have a protective bubble around you, like the one you see in the picture below.
You can colour it red, for strength and passion, or you can give it your colour for safety and protection from the Wheel of Colours.
Then you can just imagine it protecting you in every situation you would usually feel uncomfortable.
See if you feel differently when you do this.
The safe cocoon you create at home.
For this, you sit down and quiet down for a bit. You can do that in your meditation spot, on your couch or in your yard. Or even in a forest or a quiet spot in nature. But do it sitting or standing up.
When you feel comfortable, imagine a light coming down from the sky and filling you up. Let it run right through you down into the earth.
Feel the earth, the ground underneath you and connect to that as well. And then start moving the light.

Instead of just letting it run through you, allow it to enclose you.
For it, imagine the light, when it comes out of your feet, or underneath your spine, if you are sitting, to move back up around you and to wrap you from all sides until it touches the light beam coming from above again and fuses with it.
Feel yourself filled and wrapped with this loving light until you feel completely safe and at peace. Become consciously aware of this feeling and stay in it as long as you can.
When you feel ready, safe, loved and energized, cut the light stream above you, absorb the rest of the light, or share it with the earth and the beings around you.
Thank the light and the earth for always being there for you and for offering safety and love whenever you need it.
Really experience this feeling of safety, love and warmth and being held by the light and the love of the universe and then allow this feeling to stay with you all through the day.
You can renew it, whenever you feel you need it.
Merkabah activation
So, I’m not going to go into much detail into what the Merkabah is, because you can do your own research if you want to, I will just share with you, what my guides told me.
I wasn’t intending to do this, I was just chatting with someone about not really having been able to figure out about the Merkabah activation from books and other resources, one night and so the next day, while I was walking my dog, my guides showed me a way of doing it.
For it, imagine a glowing, potent, energetic ball of light above your head that energetically connects you to the sky, and another ball like this underneath your feet, that connects you to the earth.
And then another ball to your front left, your front right, behind you on your right and behind you on your left, as if you would draw a square around yourself, about the height of your shoulders.
Connect it to the ball above you so that your head and shoulders are enclosed by this squared pyramid. Then create another square around your knees.
Connect it to the top pyramid and the ball below so that your body is fully enclosed.
You are now connected and encapsulated by the energy of the universe and the earth.
And you have for shields around you pointing in four directions.
I felt the one in the back was for strengthening the material aspects of life, like providing financial stability and security.
The one in the front is for creativity and free expression, so you can find your way in the world.
The one on the left is for love, trust and conscious connection, and the one on the right for experiencing joy, nature and beauty.
Your intuition and guidance comes from above and below to guide you when your Merkabah is activated.
Other people may do this differently, you may feel things differently – this is what I received, and it feels incredibly powerful to me.
So, I would just like to encourage you to try this for yourself and see what you feel and sense.
It might be the same, it might be something else.
But it felt and feels really nice and safe and solid to me.
