← CHAPTER OVERVIEW
Let’s gather ourselves in all our wholeness and come together as one
Dear Creatrix,
First of all, I want to congratulate you. What a remarkable journey did we go on together in these past four weeks? I’m sure that you see yourself differently now, and that the effects of the work we did this month are only just beginning to unravel in all their fullness.
Today is our last day for this chapter, and that means we will see if we can look at ourselves from an even higher perspective, as our highest or our qu_ing selves. But before we do that, I’d like to share something.
I’ve been doing the Course of Miracles for a while now and last week I came to Lesson 207 (it’s a lesson a day, but sometimes I take more than one day for one lesson) and it seemed super fitting:
“I bless the world because I bless myself.”
This is just a wonderful reminder for ourselves to never think that caring for ourselves, figuring out who we are and what we need is somehow selfish.
If you want to know why, ask yourself: Who do you trust?
Someone who knows themselves, takes good care of themselves, knows what they need and has clear and honest communication about that, or someone who doesn’t?
We cannot be there for other people if we don’t know how to be there for ourselves first.
So making sure we know who we are, what we need and learning to step up for that is how we can be there for other people in the best possible way as well.
Because no one can trust us when we can’t trust ourselves. And as we can see every day and in almost every regular interaction, when people come together who don’t trust themselves – a lot of chaos, misunderstanding and confusion, anger and frustration is being created.
And this is where the qu_ing, our highest self, comes in so wonderfully.
Because a qu_ing knows who they are and what they need. And so do you.
It’s just a matter of acknowledging it and being true to yourself.
We’ve learned that it’s somehow more noble to give up some parts of ourselves to accommodate others, but that doesn’t make it good or true. No one wins anything from us punishing ourselves or not stepping up into the spotlight.
No one wins, when we don’t take the very best care of ourselves and learn about our needs and wishes and begin to fulfil them.
Whereas when we begin to do this and to explore our wholeness, live and celebrate our uniqueness, our freedom, our oneness, we are free, and we can help others find their own freedom – and so we all win.
And here’s another reminder from the Course in Miracles:
“God’s gifts are yours to share.”
The talents, the abilities we have are ours to share with the world. They are what we bring to contribute to the whole.
So if we don’t fully become who we are, we are not living our purpose, and we suffer the consequences of it, financially, health wise and because we won’t be truly happy if we don’t allow ourselves to be all that we can be – and everyone around us will suffer with us.
