← CHAPTER OVERVIEW
Can you feel how connected you really are?
Dear Creatrix,
How did the exercises from the last lesson go?
Do you have more clarity now, about the things you wondered about at the beginning of this chapter?
Today, we will just have a brief look at the four elements, before I share the ritual for this chapter and a prayer with you, which I both find very powerful and grounding and which can support us in living our purpose as well-resourced human beings stepping into our full power and potential.
The four elements, earth, water, fire and air, make up all we see and feel.
Though I actually think and agree with many others, that there are five elements, the fifth one being aether, or space, where our collective memory is stored, our soul and essence resides and where all the things happen that science has not been able to prove — yet.
But we will focus on the four more traditional ones, as we can find them in our birth chart, and they give us some indication of which areas we might have to put some more emphasis on, to bring ourselves and our lives into balance.
If you’re wondering what the elements have to do with living our purpose – well, if living our purpose means that we are all we can be as humans, experience ourselves fully, know ourselves fully, act intentionally and consciously and take the necessary steps to be our most empowered selves – then balancing the elements in our lives can help us get there.
And how do we do that?
By taking another look at our birth chart.
The FIRE signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.
The fire element helps us to be confident, outgoing, independent, enthusiastic, daring, energetic and so on.
The EARTH signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.
The earth element supports us to be grounded, rational, orderly, practical, relaxed and so on.
The AIR signs are Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.
The air element allows us to be intellectual, inventive, witty, sociable, agile and so on.
The WATER signs are Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.
The water element allows us to feel, sense, flow, be romantic, protective and so on.
I’m sharing my chart here, and you can get out your own, to see which elements appear in your chart.
For the elements, we are looking at the inner planets (Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, Mercury and Jupiter) as they are the ones describing the personality in the chart.
My Sun is in Scorpio and so is Mercury. Also, my Moon is in Pisces, so there’s quite a bit of water in my chart.
Then Venus and Jupiter are in Libra, so there are some air qualities present as well.
And then Mars is in Sagittarius, so I have a little fire as well.
But I have no earth.

Which is quite interesting because, I think, I come across as very grounded and …
