← CHAPTER OVERVIEW
Visualize yourself!
Dear Creatrix,
How are you doing? What did you learn about yourself in the last lessons, and how do you see yourself now?
The last week has been full of reading, thinking and exploring, so if you still have to catch up on some things, no worries, I will keep the input short today.
Short and effective.
Last week we looked at Astrology, Numerology and the Wheel of Colours, to help us get to know ourselves better, see where we naturally have strengths and gifts and think about the areas in which we can still grow.
With this information, we now have a lot to work with and can be well on our way to become all that we can be and to look at what we need exactly to step into our power to live our purpose and our calling.
If you need help, and support to work with facing your shadows, to overcome fears and thoughts of limitations – reach out to those who can help.
We are doing a lot of this work with and on this course, but if you need extra support with something specific, or if questions arise, join the Q&A (every other Wednesday) or book an appointment for an individual coaching session with me or someone else, or talk to a trustworthy and kind and generous friend.
In the last week, we looked at three tools, which presented us with information about ourselves, and then we checked in to see if what these tools said about us, resonated with us, and then we thought about how to use what, we felt, was helpful to grow and become our authentic selves more.
Today, I would like to introduce two more wonderful techniques we can use to fully explore ourselves – for which we, need nothing from the outside, we only need ourselves.
The first one is meditation.
If you don’t have a meditation practice set up already, today is the best day to start.
A daily meditation practice is key for a balanced life. There is really no alternative to it.
If we meditate and allow our brains and busy minds to rest for just a few minutes (research shows that even 1 minute has a positive effect), it brings our body and system back into its natural state and with that relieves stress and brings in more well-being.
Of course, you can also meditate for longer periods of time.
I’ve gained some of my most significant understandings and insights that way.
And there are many ways to meditate, so try out different ways and see what works best for you.
You can start with guided meditations, I love the Hay House App for that because there are so many safe and high-quality ones on there, alongside many wonderful audiobooks and more (not getting paid for this, just a fan ;)), but YouTube has a lot of great guided meditations as well.
You can also try out walking meditation, sitting meditation, and you can meditate anywhere you like, in nature or in your home, I quite like meditating in busy spaces as well: buses, aeroplanes, trains – it can be fun.
And, you don’t need anything to start meditating.
I mention this here because a friend recently asked me what apps I used to meditate. And my answer was: none. We do not need anything to meditate, we already have it all.
We simply sit in a quiet space, comfortably, possibly erect, close our eyes and simply try to calm our monkey mind.
We can do this by focusing on sounds.
Or counting from 1 to 9 and starting with 1 again every time a thought comes up on the way there, or my favourite is really to repeat the word: nothing.
And then just watch how we become more calm.
It’s working even as I’m writing this ;).
And if you’d like some support with setting up a regular meditation practice, check out this article.
How to set up a meditation practice that lasts
You know how they say that if you don’t have the time to meditate for ten minutes, you should meditate for an hour? When I first heard that, at a time when I really didn’t know how to make the time to meditate at all, I knew they were right, but I still didn’t know how to start meditating.
If you, too, struggle to find the time to meditate, I have three tips for you, which will enable you to start meditating, no matter how much time you have.
Through regular meditation, we can, over time, establish a great connection to the collective consciousness, universal knowing, divine guidance or however you would like to call it, and tap into the limitless knowledge of the world, see our past and future and in this way also gain incredible insights about possibilities for our future, our calling and so on.
It’s how I’ve received one of my callings, the vision I mentioned before, how I get help to create a lot of the content for the CREATRIX School and the best guide we can possibly find in life because it knows all there is to know and can help us to understand it all as well.
But this is not done in a day. It takes daily practice and patience.
It’s so worth it, though.
