Call for Submissions: boats & ships ⛵️

boats & ships ⛵️

When we’re little, we play with boats and ships. Some of us use them daily to get to school or work, or some of us might even work on a ship or need a boat to do their job. Other people build and fix boats.

Style, form and tradition around boats vary greatly, yet they all move us from A to B and keep us over water.

In ancient as well as modern times, they move us and the goods we require. A lot of things would not be possible without them.

And they can be extremely beautiful and elegant, or a big threat to our environment.

What is your relationship to ships or boats? Do they make you think of vacations or every day life? Do they play an important symbolic or traditional role in your life/family/community/region? Do you just like to look at them, or do you have to deal with the pollution some of them cause?

Whatever it is, submit your piece about the boats & ships to GEMP now. Up to thirty selected submissions will be exhibited during the month of February and beyond.

Deadline: January 31st, 2022
You may submit your own drawings, photos, poetry, short stories, recipes, films, or other media as long as it can be published online. 🙂

Written submissions should not be longer than a thousand words. Pictures a minimum of 800px (width) but not larger than 1 MB. Max. 3 images per person.

Please choose a creative commons licence and include it in your submission, as well as a short bio and your name (to be displayed) and links to Social Media/Website or other forms of contact, if you don’t have either.

Get Your Personal Wheel of Colours

The Wheel of Colours is a traditional tool that can help us to understand what we need in certain situations.

We are all made up out of the same stuff, but everything is arranged uniquely in each person – which leads to us all needing different things in different moments.

If you’d like to find out what YOU need to start a project, to work with other people, to successfully finish something, to heal, to spark your creativity or what your unique gift is that you bring to the world, then the Wheel of Colours will help you to see this and yourself in a new and very practical way.

It will also show you how you can listen to your inner truth and that of others, what your most important lesson is and also what your most difficult challenge will be, that once you overcome it will bring you to the completion of your wheel – and allow you to start again in a smoother, more enlightened and balanced way.

🌈 You have the power to create your reality.

Are you a creatrix?

Have you ever felt like you don’t quite belong? That you’re somewhat different from the rest of the people around you?

That there’s a yearning deep down, a knowing, that you are capable of more? That while you know you are talented and can achieve a lot, something is somehow still missing?

Then you are a creatrix. And it’s time to start living it.

I, too, felt this way as long as I can remember
And I didn’t know what I was missing.

I had friends, a partner, a rewarding job. I was an artist, an activist and created real change.

Yet, I also felt lonely, uncertain, sometimes hopeless and often stressed.

No matter what or how much I did, it never felt completely right or like I had arrived.

Something was always missing.
