Thoughts on ageing (happily), the Wheel of Colours & our Health
Dear Creatrix,
So, I think we’ve looked quite extensively at the role that our thoughts and beliefs play in the way we experience our bodies in the last two lessons.
If these ideas are new to you, they will take time to sink in. So come back to these lessons whenever you feel called to do so, as each time you do, it will take you in deeper.
And I hope you enjoyed thinking about all the new possibilities that can open up for you, now that you are making peace with your body, and now that you are learning how to understand it better, and how to heal and change it for your unique and joyful, loving and fully embodied experience here on earth.
Today, we will first look at a few other quotes and ideas that I found that might be helpful with this process, and then we will look at our Wheel of Colours, to find out how the colours can help us with healing and balancing our lives as well.
After that, we will think about age, and ageing, as that is on the one hand, a construct and illusion as well, and a necessity at the same time. And we will time-travel a bit for that.
It’s going to be fun!
But we’ll start here: A couple of days ago, I listened to a talk about willpower, and in it, the participants pointed something out that, I thought, would be good to share here as well.
Studies have shown, that when we believe that using our willpower costs us energy, it does, whereas when we believe that it doesn’t cost us any energy, it indeed does not.
So gain, we come back to our beliefs.
What we think about something, determines how difficult we find it. So remind yourself of this too.
It actually does work, when we say: Changing my life is easy! Or creating new neural pathways is fun! Or: Changing my beliefs is easy and fun!
Another thing I found, stated that creating a new habit takes around 400 repetitions, whereas when we do it in play it only takes 10 to 12 repetitions.
So, the how matters greatly here too.
We have to remember that we’ve been raised with punishment and shame, so we often practice this on ourselves.
When we see a behaviour we don’t like in ourselves, or that we haven’t changed our way of thinking yet, like we wanted to, then we can easily feel disappointment, anger or shame – as this is what was modelled for us growing up.
But we don’t have to continue.
We can also say to ourselves: “That’s fine love, you tried your best, let’s just make sure we align ourselves better now.”
And see how differently you feel, and how much easier that makes it to create lasting changes.
Because we can really make change easy and fun.
Here’s another quote:
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.” (Henry Ford)
So decide who and how you want to be.
The only thing we have to do, is to make that one conscious decision to go for our best lives, joyfully, playfully and not to let anyone or anything limit our imagination of what is possible for us.
Other people may still hold on tho their shame and guilt, and also shame us for not acting the way they do, for not sacrificing themselves the way they do, and all of that – but we can make a conscious choice to be different. To not allow these limitations to negatively impact our lives any more, just because they are common, and we are used to expereiencing them.
In that sense:
How do you wish to feel about your body, your decisions, and your health for the rest of your life?
And what are you willing to give up to make room to live your best life, and to be healthy and free?
It will always be your decision.
I hope you Choose yourself, your freedom, your joy – as soon as you are ready. Until then, do what it takes each day to get there.
Because it’s not about where you are now, or what’s working yet and what isn’t – it’s about being determined to not stop until you feel a 100% free.
I promise you, if you don’t give up, you’ll get there.
How the Wheel of Colours can help us
The Wheel of Colours can also help us in being healthy and balancing our lives.
If you have your Wheel of Colours already, you know which colour you need to activate to balance your life, so do it. If you need a reminder, you find it in field number 4.
And if you don’t have yours yet, order it from me now, so you, too, will know what you need.
If your colour for balance and healing is brown, you need to start using your body again, and be active, to feel better when you don’t.
If your colour for healing and balancing your life is orange, you have to learn something new, or dedicate your life to a new topic or new chapter, to feel better, when you don’t.
If your colour for healing and balancing your life is red, you need to become passionate about your life, and what you do to feel well again, when you don’t, and so on.
If your colour for healing and balancing your life is crystal, like mine, you have to find crystal clarity about your life, and what to do to feel well again, whenever you don’t, and you can trust that deep down you know how to heal yourself, so listen to that.
Knowing our colour for healing and balancing and what it stands for, and reminding ourselves of that, when we feel low, can help us immensely to get back into our full power and vitality.
It really is as easy as that. We just have to do it.
But our colour for healing and balancing can also help us when we’re well. Because if we value these things in and for ourselves every day of our lives, we will also stay well.
